Elementary School Counselors within driving distance of Lake George, NY, are invited to attend the second annual "Day of Sharing" currently hosted by Mary Quinn and Capital District Counseling Association (CDCA).
This event is from 9 am - 2:30 pm in the Tankard Tavern Room of the Fort Wm. Henry Resort and Conference Center, 48 Canada Street, Lake George, NY. The $30 registration fee covers coffee breaks and lunch (choice of Poached Pear and Grill Chicken Salad, Tarragon Chicken Salad or Portabella Mushroom with Mozzarella Sandwich).
During the morning session, counselors will share an activity or classroom lesson (bring 30 copies of yours to share) and the afternoon session discussion will be highlighted with a NYSSCA update by new Region 4 Governor, Gloria Jean. Gloria will bring copies of the joint NYSUT/NYSSCA "Q&A on APPR," NYSSCA's "Q&A on Common Core for School Counselors" as well as information on revision of the NYSSCA Comprehensive Model. There will be plenty of time for discussion of current issues and concerns.
