Congrats to the following students: Andrea Horowitz, Jennifer Lyons, Mary Permaul, Josette Langlois, Jessie Bergen, Rachael Dickinson.
From Mike Wascho:
The above students from my case management class led by Jennifer Lyons, put together a Saint Rose team and participated by walking and raising funds in this year’s Walk a Mile in Her Shoes hosted by Samaritan Hospital’s Sexual Assault and Crime Victims Unit. The HVCC team won 1st prize for most proceeds raised, however this group of students did finish near the top if not “just missing winning”, and were very vocal and supportive during the event. Several of them were actually on the news (13 & 10) holding up signs and waving in the background! Very neat…
One of the things I’ve stressed in case management this semester is really going outside of one's comfort zone, becoming involved within the community, and taking advantage of opportunities such as this to make a difference let alone network. I’m very proud of these guys and I think our department should be too.
CONGRATULATIONS!
